Growing up Thomas had always enjoyed the visual arts but never thought of pursing a career as an artist. Until one day he walked into the glassblowing studio at Center College. Upon graduation Thomas was awarded the position of Glass Artist in Residence at the Appalachian Center for Crafts. He also worked as the Manager and Head Glassblower for the River Gallery Glass Studio in Chattanooga Tennessee.
Currently, Thomas focuses his energies on works that infuse the earth, air and sea. These works range in scale from small ornaments and paperweights to large outdoor sculpture. Thomas works can be found in galleries and collections across the United States including the Tennessee State Museum, The Siskin Foundation, and Joseph Decosimo & Company. Thomas lives in Chattanooga with his wife Kimerlen Moore, who is an Artist and Art educator.
